Training Descriptions

Advanced Tactical Weapons Course
RECOMMENDED FOR HIGH RISK ENTRY & SWAT OFFICERS

This is a two-day (16-hours) course of instruction. Students will spend one day in Advanced Tactical Rifle learning the advanced use of the assault rifle for offensive & defensive situations, Close Quarter Engagements, Action vs. Reaction, Live Fire Tactical Team Movement and Multiple Target Engagement Drills.

Day two students will be an Advanced Tactical Pistol class designed to teach officers to improve their weapons skills during an armed confrontation. The focus of the training will be on acquiring and engaging targets faster and more accurately, in the ever-changing dynamic atmosphere of an armed encounter.  You will leave this class having specific drills that will allow you to gain and maintain your winning edge.

This course will accommodate 40 officers broken down into two groups of 20 for training. If you want to learn the skills for individual weapons employment in law enforcement situations from the Masters this is a class you do not want to miss!

Advanced Sniper Class
Recommended for officers assigned as snipers and weapons instructors

This is an intense 8-hour precision long gun training class and limited to 12 students each day. The course will involve tactical weapons employment, quick movement through unknown terrain, field expedient shooting positions and engagement of targets at unspecified distances from 0-300 yards. The class will start and end with zero confirmation. Students will leave this class better prepared to employ their weapons in any type of terrain and situation and more capable of placing the first round on target. This is a shooting class and students should bring 200 rounds of ammunition, individual shooting support equipment, field durable gear, eye and ear protection are required.

Shield Tactics & Employment
Recommended for all SWAT officers

This is a dynamic four-hour block of instruction with both demonstrations and practical exercises that teach the principles of effective and efficient use of tactical shields in combat situations. Emphasis is placed on the use of weapons while employing a shield, both handgun and subgun/carbine. Left and right shooting, reload and movement drills, single and multiple target engagement techniques, and CQB are explained and exercised using the new Multiple Use Shield Technology (M.U.S.T.). Shields will be provided for training. Officers will fire approximately 250 rounds pistol and 250 rounds subgun/carbine during this training. Each registered team will be provided 2 free seats in this class.

SWAT Seminar:     Combat Mindset – John Hughes
Recommended for SWAT officers and leaders at every level

This two-hour block will include the comparison and transition of the police patrol officer into a SWAT Officer on a SWAT Call. It will discuss Jeff Coopers Color Codes of Metal Awareness along with an inside look a how elite military teams prepare their operators for sustained combat operations.  It will address the traditional thinking that in a lethal engagements stress takes over and show how with proper training and preparation the body and mine can be controlled for maximum performance.  This seminar is critical information for law enforcement officers who must maintain the ability to go from routine procedure to life and death struggle in the blink of an eye. How you think will determine how you react. Don’t miss this lecture
