Philosophy and Capabilities Advanced SWAT Training & Competition LLC, (AST&C) is a Veteran owned, American company that specializes in custom training packages for Law Enforcement and military. AST&C is a full service-consulting firm that is headquartered in Mesa, AZ. We have the capability to conduct a wide range of services in a variety of areas, but focus on training needs assessments, special requirements studies (evaluations), officer selection criteria, police academy and training curriculum development, basic police patrol tactics and skills, basic and advanced weapons training, SWAT team selection and training and advanced SWAT training and tactics. The AST&C training philosophy is to provide top quality, experienced-based training at a reasonable fee. Detailed lesson plans document all our training and conform to state of the art training methods. Further, AST&C instruction is designed to be congruent with current subject best practices and can easily be used as the basis for doctrine and standard operating procedure (SOP) development. AST&C has the ability to provide hands-on/practical training in a wide range of areas and to customize training programs from 3-days to 6-months in length. We draw our instructors from an international field of experts, many are some of the most highly respected individuals in their areas and all are superb teachers. Our primary cadre is from the United States and all have many years of hands-on, field experience. They can walk the walk as well as talk the talk! ADVANCED SWAT managers work with clients to identify specific training needs. This may include conducting job-task analysis and identification of essential job-tasks, performance evaluations and other research to identify specific training requirements. Following an agreement on the specific training to be delivered, AST&C identifies the most suitable instructors from is list of adjunct cadre and forms a training team to deliver the training. Training can be conducted at either the clients location or an agreed upon site. The AST&C training teams arrive at the training location prepared to teach. They possess detailed and professionally made lesson plans and materials that are provided both to the students and client managers. Primary Law Enforcement Training Areas
